How big is your party?

For myself I chickened out, I created a full five player party. I was on the verge to actually press the begin button when I had three players, cleric, fighter, sorcerer...

I just picked this up... now I've got to wait another 3-4 hours until I go from work to play it. Grrr.

I'm planning on starting with a party of five. I'll probably go chaotic good initially with a Human bard (my diplomat), Dwarven fighter (or perhaps barbarian), Half-Elven ranger/rogue (w/archery focus), Elven cleric of Corellon Larethian), and Human druid (NG).

This will give me a lot of healing, and a lot of flexibility with what my party can accomplish.

Depending on the NPCs available I'd like to pick up a strong arcane caster (stronger than a bard, that is ;) ) as well. I'll use another NPC slot for the druid's animal companion (and possibly the final for the ranger's animal companion).

My philosophy is that it's more fun to take a party of 5 or 6 members to level 7 or 8 (I'm guessing that I won't reach the 10th level limit with a party this size) than to take a party of 3 to level 10.
