[IMG] I´ve always hates the game editors. It seems to be "the cheesy" way to beat the game, so for many years I´ve tried to be as far as it possible from those things...regardless on how much it cost me(or how "expensive" those cool weapons could be)
Until recently, trough my way in the severed hand, and with a couple(around 980000) gold pieces, the game decides to pays me back.
I´m asuming that everybody knows when you finished the game in normal mode, the system exports your characters, enables you to play them in HoF mode, but you can´t have the money you´ve earned trough your adventure. So, how many people do, I aproach to the nice elf merchant, ready to waste it all.
I´d started with the max amount of +5 bolts pack that I´m allowed to buy(around 60 I think)and hit the "BUY" button... just to find out that I´m still having 967000 gold pieces!!! :D
Of course, I´d repeat the process untill the money actually runs out, so by the end of the transaction,I´ve around 40x 9999 packs of +5 bolts(I think that the amount of maoney of those items rises to a several millions) with a minimal(in comparision) investment.
No need to say that my HoF mode was FAAAR easier with that kind of starting money from the scartch, and every merchant in targos town practically kisses the ground that I step.
My Question here is: does anybody experincies the same thing? or is just a (another) bug?
My first character is a sorcerer with the "trade master" feat(sorry, my game it´s in spanish, so I´m not sure),and I´ve installed the ease of use mod, if does anything to do with it.
    Anyway, I´m just asking.

Well, your Sorcerer will likely have a high Charisma which, in addition to the feat, will lower prices quite considerably.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you bought them for X gold, found that X was a tiny amount and that you could sell them for >X gold. After doing this, you found you had an even more massive amount of gold and so could purchase anything that you wanted?

In answer: I've never been able to sell something for more than I bought it for, if I understood you right this seems a bit like a bug.

OHHHH! Now I understand! So does this happen only from the drow at the severed hand or other places?

The whole thing it´s hard to explain properly with my limited use of the English languaje, but I will try it:
The high Charisma bonus on the character only affects thi final price of each item you´d buy but it has nothing to do with the effect I´m "suffering".
For example, with a +9 CHA modifier, a pack of twenty +5 bolt cost aroud 22500 gp.Rigth?
If you buy this item "one by one", it´s still gonna gost you 22500 gps.
But if you double click on the item, the "select amount" windows opens, you insert the digit manually trough the keyboard(ex: 45), press accept.
Now you have 45 packs of twenty +5 bolts, that´s gonna cost you around a million gps. But when you press the "BUY" button, the game only sustracts you a fraction of the whole amount of money.
By now, you have 45 packs of twnty +5 bolts(900) AND still have almost the amount of money when you start the transaction.Repeat at will.Finish.
I think that it has something to do with the "infinite stacking" mod, but I´m not sure.
And no, I haven´t tested trough any other merchant, so probably will bw an error of my game.
I hope this explanation helps you.

Oh so it's probably to do with the Ease of Use mod? I've never used it or infinite stacking so I wouldn't know ...

I think that the infinite stacking is part of the ease of use mod somehow,´cos It´s the only mod I´ve installed so far in my system. And before the installation, never hapenned to me...I don´t know... may be if somebody elses try it out with the same/different merchant in the same/different character conditions...

Yes, infinite stacking is an optional component of EoU. I've never actually had this bug in my games.

I had the very same bug with my Sorc PC, I had also EoU' infinite stacking. I bought multiple samples of +5 ammunitions from the drow lass (by double clicking and choosing more than 1)in Severed Hand, but the foolish girl always priced them as if I had bought only one sample. This allowed me to buy tons of those +5 arrows and bolts, with minimum price. Later, I sold them in HoF mod to get some spiffy new-HoF only items from Targos merchants. That was cool! :shake:

I guess that drow lass (was her name Riki?) has a soft spot for sorcerers. Or the EoU's infinite stacking is to blame. :p
