Still thinking of buying it, just thought I'd ask this first.

Even the beta-test is worth your money!

Seriously: the patch fixes a lot of the internal glitches, but doesn't fix the miserably thin storyline, the poor portraits, the lousy voiceacting, and the uninspiring NPC interaction. If you like turn-based combat at its most beautiful, then pick up ToEE. But if you're looking for a plotline and a sense of humor, you're still better off with IWD2. And that's saying a lot.

I recommend ToEE, even pre-patch. It's addictively fun. But its literary flaws are literally unpatchable.

It didn't 'do' it for me. I was after a bit more of a storyline. This reminds me too much of PoR: RoMD.

[IMG] The story (what story?) is definitely BAD. I wouldn't buy this myself, but it's still worth playing. Just borrow it from someone. I just bought PoR - RoMD and now Abomination comes and tells it's just as bad as ToEE.

the game is good.very innovative.i think you must have a good pc system for this i recommend :

    512 ram (ddr is good)
64 mb video card (nvidia for easy update on drivers)
    1.7 pentium 4(or 17000 amd)

with this you will feel the speed of the game.the new battle system is so addicting.

The official patch is not enough. I recommend using the Circle of Eight patch along with the official one.

Let's not start with the PoR comparisons, if anything, ToEE is an upgraded version of what PoR should've been.
