How did you find your way to Sorcerer's Place?

I just started to wonder, how everyone has found their way here. I personally found my way here thorough Gamespot, where I did a search trying to find *eeps and tries to hide from Extremist* the Shadowkeeper.
Needless to say, i took one look on the site and fell in love

I think it was from links. When I got bg2 I was searching for the best site about it. And I found it.

 

The same here, I had first got stuck on the old BG dungeon but when it disapeared I in some way found my way here. And have stayed since

 

For me, I think I was searching for answers to some questions I had about Icewind Dale.

 

Portraits for BG. I got my portraits by now

 

Word of mouth from a friend. He found it using search engines.

 

A friend of mine sent me here so I could get Shadow Keeper and make my paladin a demi-god with all 25's for stats.

I didn't do that ... but I did get addicted. Now I'm waiting for Dalekeeper II

I was stuck somewhere in BG and so searched for a bit help. I surfed to www.baldursgate.com... wich turned out to be a top-10 site... I saw Sorcerer's Place on spot 3 and decided to take a look.... I was addicted from the very first moment I was here....

 

You know what? It's been so long now...I can't remember. I posted about this a while ago. IIRC, I think I had a question about IWD, or maybe it was from BG1 - Can't remember now. It has been ages though.

Now I think I visit the site once a day, and because of it - I visit a psychiatrist once a week now too! JK

Also, Tal's cute picture on the front page (there really is one!!!) made me stay!!! LOL ROTFLMAO!!!!!

I was searching for Planescape:Torment forums. And parked my *ss on Gamejag.
However, that place was pretty boring... So, I've searched for another site.

First, I've checked them all. And got addicted to SP. It's not the colors, it's not the avatars, it's not the forums, I don't know what is it.

Strange, but true, this place is better than official sites. This place has a soul. And I mean it.

 

Well talking about addictions... I am now an air elemental.....

Got stuck in Bg1 and just searched for it. However this was round a friends house and it took me the rest of the week to find it again back at my house. Now i don't have the willpower to leave.

 

looking for IWD walkthrough I think. Didn't get stuck on board till I needed some help with bg2... or I wanted to see what it was about. Can't remember, I got stuck anyhow

 

A couple of years ago I was playing Baldur's Gate for the first time, and I had a lot of questions. The fellows at #baldursgate at EFnet told me of a person called Sorcerer in #sorcerers, who apparantly could answer the questions they could not. This version of SP didn't exist back then, but I did chat a lot at the channel as long as it remained at EFnet and I jumped onto the boards when they came.

 

I was addicted to BG2 (I've gotten off my cravings now), and just searched for links to BG2. Then I was blown away when I found this site .

 

Dudette told me about it, but how she got it is unknown to me.

P.S. *SIGH* Dudette uninstalled mIRC!!! She's back to hating this place. *another big SIGH*

 

I was looking for files from BG2's bonus CD.
Still haven't found it.

Seriously, Sprite brought me to SP I think I was looking for some info on SoA, or maybe I had an answer to a question she saw here and suggested I post it, but either way, she got me hooked.
