How do you uninstall some mods?

[IMG] Here's my problem: I took the next few days off of work, planning on just relaxing and playing a little Baldur's Gate (1) with EasyTutu. Now, I have a few mods added into my ToB and BG1 games, and am thinking that I'll probably run into a few problems if I install EasyTutu over these mods.

I also don't have access to all of my discs right now, so an uninstall and reinstall isn't possible. If I screw up, I won't get any game-time in at all.

So, is there an easy way to uninstall the mods I have already?

Have you tried running any .exe files and selecting "uninstall"? Sometimes that works. Other times that option just isn't available. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I'll recommend a clean backup next time you install ToB. Install the game, the patches and Baldurdash: copy the override folder, BgMain.exe, chitin.key, dialog.tlk, Baldur.ini, and then have them in an appropriate place. Then instead of reinstalling just remove traces from mod manually and finally copypaste your clean backup, and it's ready to go.

Just click on 'Modname'.exe files on your BG2. It should ask you what to do with already installed components, choose uninstall and watch the magic work!

If you can not uninstall like this, (sometimes it happens on the very rare occasion) your game is screwed. But I don't think it will cause bad bugs if you get TuTu on your already mods, but I can't be sure, never had BG1 to start with. :p

[IMG] I use the mods with the normal Tutu without any problem whatsoever. Don't really see how eTuTu should be much different. Weidu mods are easy to uninstall with the installer application, if you have other mdos you'd have to check up on the readme or site you downloaded them from.

If you are using non-WeiDU mods then you will have to manually remove the files, or just reinstall the entire game. WeiDU ones are easy to uninstall, as has been mentioned.
