Are the custom mods for BG2 SOA worth installing and playing through. And do they contain in game movies like in the actual game?

[IMG] With the exception of the darkest day, many of the mods are great. Ascension, Ease of Use, Item Upgrade, Expanded Thief's Stronghold..all top notch stuff. There are many more out there, but those 3 I consider to be really good. Wait, Tortured Souls is great as well. If you're a fan of Yoshimo, then you will like it.

I looove Yoshimo. He's so much more personable than Anomen. I wish someone would do a (tragic) romance mod for him.

Anyhoo, what chapter would "Tortured Souls" start in? Is it after Spellhold?

And is appropriate in this forum to ask why "Darkest Day" was not a fav?

I suggest you do some research about what you're looking for, of course. For as usual, there are a good amount of unfinished and incredibly buggy mods out there. Check the list here at Sorcerer's. Just about every mod I've gotten from the links here has been perfect. And I mean that. The romance mods, mods that add to areas and quests, etc are every bit a part of the masterpiece that is Baldur's Gate. They add immensely to the replay value of the game, and take nothing away from the immersion.

The Expanded Thief's Mod is great. I'm playing though it right now, and it's very professionally made. You don't really think that it is a mod, rather, you think that it's made by Bioware as part of the game.

Haven't played the latest TDD (The Darkest Day) but the last time I played it, it was pretty buggy and boring after a while.
