[IMG] I don't need to know who, but I have always been curious. This is probably one of the most toughest boards on the Internet to stay in if you act like an @#$ (which includes many people, and occasionally me :) ). Are these permanent sentences or will they be allowed to return?

And no, this is not an invitation to ban me.

I've been banned once (edit: not from here). For pointing out some inconsistencies and protesting against breaking the law on boards as well as the board's rules. Things happen. For example here at SP no such thing could happen judging from what I've seen.

[IMG] There are less than 10 permanent IP bans as far as I can remember. And more than half of these were trolls who got banned for random carnage like spamming crap all over the boards till one of the mods noticed.

We always use banning as the last resort and only if everything else fails. Really, you can't get banned here if you read the rules and acknowledge them. It's only people who intentionally do something they know will result in getting banned that actually do get banned.

@Taluntain: You're informal Admin of The Year now ;)

But what do you do with guys whom permanent IP ban does no harm? Dynamic IPs for example... Do you block the account so that the spammer can't log in or something?

Well, only me and BTA are admins anyway. ;)

And yes, the posting account of the troublemaker that gets banned gets locked too, of course.

I was banned for a day once. And it was all 8people's fault. She's a bad influence. ;)

[IMG] Just goes to show the equality of the Mods here, they'll ban their staff for overstepping the rules. And I can see why 8people is a bad influence :p .

I'm surprised I haven't been banned yet. But it's only a matter of time....
