how to get to chapter 3? need help

    I just killed whats her name in the dragon pit to get the heartstone or whatever, now i have it and i returned to town to speak to the druid. I find a bunch of orcs about and kill I think all of them. then i visit the druid and he is an imposter and the real Druid dies upstairs telling me to go to the severed hand so I walk out, but there is no icon that says severed hand or whatever so i can't go to it. What did i do wrong?

    scroll down towards the bottom of the world map and you should see the icon for the Hand.
