Okay, when you go inside this building near the Silvershield Estate In Baldur's Gate, you are set upon by 2 Doom guards, 3 unseen blokes and 1 of these unseen spectre thingys...well how tough are these gimps? cos it took a hell lotta magic and pain to kiss them goodbye! Also, y'know the Helmat Of Baulddreen is located in the Helm and Cloak inn...well where's the damn cloak?

Sniper, follow the clues when you set about the guest to get the helm. Talk to the statues, and if you don't force him to reveal the helms location, he will tell you that the *er* lady in the undercellar, Quinash I believe, has the cloak. You can then go tell her that *insert statues name hree* wants you to have the cloak because you freed him from stone.

It's always more rewarding to be in possesion of that helm IMO, so i never return to the guy that hires you to find it. And yes those guys are tough to beat, but that helms so nice it's worth the fight.

If you time it right, you can get the quest experience points/reward/whatever and the helm at the same time. Spoilers ahead. When you bring the helm back to the mage, if you give it to him, he will run off and summon more horrors I believe to take care of you. Now, if you're like me, just position your three mages, and archers around him and have the main fighter right beside him when you give the helm to him. Quickly pause the game and blast him with three magic missles, arrows, whatever and let the fighter get a shot in. You'll get whatever you were supposed to for completing the quest and get the helm from the mage, and of course be putting a blight on the Realms down at the same time to boot :D Course this means you will have to fight more of the battle horrors, but as long as you prepare with summoned monsters, it isn't that tough.
