[IMG] I have a Rabbit familiar and he's hungry. I thought having a familar was a good idea (even after reading an earlier discussion on these boards) but so far he's been a waste of inventory space (although the extra HP are some compensation). Anyway, I had a chat with him for the first time in ages and he gave me some priceless information. Apperently the Underdark is a dangerous place to be (inate ability - blinding flashes of the obvious).

Anyway, I started thinking and remembered that he was always asking for food. After failing to get him stuff in the fruit and vegtable shop in the Promenade, I gave up.

So my question is: has anyone found any use for their familiar (other than the special abilities some have) and has anyone found anything to feed the rabit with?

Bring back the non-complaining battle winning Boo.

Maybe in the expansion the good folks at Black Isle/Bioware/Interplay/whomever will let you have a greater choice in familiars ... possibly including your OWN miniature giant space hamster

[IMG] You can´t find some food for the stupid beast in the whole game. I´d therefore suggest some rabbit-ragout for dinner. That should compensate all the wasted time you put in your useless pet.

Go for a real one. Go get a cat!

I prefer the idea of your own giant minature space hampster. Back to the Rabbit stew idea, perhaps the mistake I've been making is trying to buy stuff for the rabbit. Perhaps I should have tried to sell or give the rabbit to a store or maybe that orcish cook that you meet (in Windspear I think).

Have you read his receipes??? Even a stupid, useless rabbit - prone to state the obvious - shouldn´t end up like that!

Maybe I found a more cruel way to get rid of it without killing it: Do you have a little, 4 year old cousin? Or a little sister? :D

Yeah perhaps I'm being too cruel. I suppose I could make the little blighter work for his keep and use him to scout. I've always resisted before (because of the loss of constitution if he dies) but maybe the Underworld is the ideal place for him to stretch his legs a bit. (manical evil laughter)

I can see this rabbit thing causing me to slide towards an evil alignment. First time through - chaotic good, second time through - true neutral, third time through - chaotic evil rabbit hater

That´s a totally normal phenomenon that usually comes with the increase of insight in a topic.

Congratulations and may I say how honoured I am that my innocuous little post about Rabbits helped you to reach this major milestone. Maybe my familiar has justified himself afterall - magic works in mysterious ways.
