I'm in Arlington, just west of DC. Hope I have enough water to survive...

[IMG] Good luck! I pray God He'll give you strength and wisdom to get through it. I never experienced such a thing like hurricanes and the like, so I can't imagine what it would be like, but the pics and views of other hurricanes makes me aching.

I'd like to give you shelter as well, but I doubt that would be a rational thing to do, seeing I live at the other side of the atlantic. :heh:

    There's this and this:

A devout man lived by a creek. During a period of heavy rain and impending flood, a county sheriff came by in his pickup and offered to help the man evacuate. "Thanks but no," he replied. "The Lord will provide."

The next day the creek overflowed its banks. A woman came by in a powerboat and offered to help the man evacuate. "Thanks but no," he replied. "The Lord will provide."

The rain kept falling and creek kept rising. A few days later the man was sitting on his roof when a National Guard helicopter came by to evacuate him. "Thanks but no," he replied. "The Lord will provide."

The man drowned. When he went to heaven he met God. "Lord, I have to ask you something. I was always told that if I believed in you, you'd provide. Why did you let me drown?"

God rolled His eyes. "I sent you a truck, a boat, and a helicopter - what more did you want?!"
