I'm a huge fan of cRPGs, and I know the experience will be a little different, but I would love suggestions on what games I should get.

A quick internet search tells me there are some Final Fantasy games for this system, as well as one Dungeons & Dragons game.

I'll almost definitely be picking those up.

    Any other suggestions?

    TIA

In my opinion, the PSP has a pretty bad selection of games that are worthwile.
I'm a fan of CRPGs,too, and the only game I really enjoyed was Jeanne D'Arc, a tactical RPG. If you like Tactics Ogre or Final Fantasy Tactics (which is kind of a rip off), you'll love it.
Dungeons & Dragons isn't this good on PSP (maybe if you're a desperate fan of all DnD), Jeanne D'arc and FFTactics are better.

The final Fantasy games available are remakes of 1 and 2 (which are better played on the NES or an emulator). The exclusive PSP Final Fantasy game is some kind of a weird mixture of fighting game and RPG, watch some youtube videos before you buy it, I personally find it dull.

The only game I would again pay money for is Jeanne D'Arc.
All others aren't worth it or are remakes which are better played on their respective consoles.

    edit:
Not a RPG, but a lot of people like Monster Hunter.
I tested it and it can indeed get addictive.

Monster Hunter is meant to be very good.

    Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
    Dissdia: Final Fantasy
Dungeons & Dragons Tactics (I saw the review above)
Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts
Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony (This one looks really cool)
    Final Fantasy Tactics
    Lord of the Rings Tactics
    Vahalla Knights (1 & 2)
Ys (there's a few of these too)
    Jeanne D'Arc

Do ANY of these games come close to Baldur's Gate II?

    BG1 was better than BG2.

The only games getting close available on PSP are tactical RPGs.
    - You have a party (which may consist of predefined characters),
    - You have customization by
    a) different selection of items and
    b) experience gain which nets you better stats and/or abilities
    - a nice story
    - and, of course, you have tactical combat.

The big difference is, that the gameplay is driven by lining up combat maps,
which have to be solved in turn based combat.

These are, imho, the best ones available on PSP in that order:

    - Jeanne D'Arc (developed by Level 5)
    - Final Fantasy Tactics (a port of the Playstation original)
    - Disgaea (a port of the Playstation original)

    edit:
    some random gameplay ^^:
