I may not eat

    i have just come home from the dentist and i had a toth srgery done with some to linquish the pain, so i cannot eat anything fo r the next few hours i cab't stand not eating as i m very hungty..

    the surgery was not that painfull bt before it hurt like a b*** and one of my frinds once broke his jaw or a dentist did and it hurt to, any of you something like this has happpend to?

    Is it more 'I can't chew food' or 'Dentist said I can't eat anything' thing? I found puddings and sloppy Jell-O snacks are okay. Just smoosh them on the roof of your mouth or chew on the other side away from the dental work. In a pinch, you could try a piece of soft, white bread. I'm guessing you can't drink with a straw; the suction plays heck with the stitches.

    i am very sorry for the typos and meaningless things i wrote, i have just woken up now, and i don't understand anything of what i wrote...

    guess it was a pretty kick in the face them pain killers

    Take painkillers and simply avoid eating. That's what has worked for me and believe me I've been through much with braces and everything. ;) If you're home and don't have work to do, go to bed. When you sleep, you don't feel pain, plus you regenerate somewhat.

    well thank you for all the suggestions, they wasn't really needed as i fell asleep shortly after due to the painkillers, and this would also be the reason to why the post is a little bit strange, typos and the general post not making that much snese.

    Boil together some water, cloves and salt, let it cool and then add tea tree oil. Wash out your mouth but do not swallow it (I used to be a dental nurse and he always recommended it to people who'd just had work done). It prevents infections which can spread to your jaw (apparantly)

    Failing that, buy some Corsodyl mouthwash

    Anyhting like that? Well got braces a little while ago... it hurts considerably to eat anything harder than ice cream... so yeah ice cream, soup, jelly very good

    Last time I had some major dental work done, I just burned up an happy cigarette and played Xbox. Completly forgot the pain :p

    As for food... this day was the one I drank the most Coke Zero of my whole life... even though it was plainly evil, I guzzled a 12-pack in the evening... :eek:
