Man I'm not gonna spit a spoiler out, but she really ticked me off when you enter the graveyard in chapter 6!

The Vampire Guild seems much more difficult this time around!

Drizzt is a really really awsome fighter! The only time I ever heard of him was by the BG2:SoA book. But I done my research on him through the 'net, and he is mad cool!

I wish Negative Plane Protection lasted longer, then I would feel a bit more free in battle! It's like Im rationing things out! It's all good though! Drizzt really tanks well and so does Jaheira (with the Amulet of Power wrapped on her).

I haven't gotten to killing Bodhi yet, but oh man, she is gonna get it real good! That is just beyond evil!

I think she is quite nice especially when sunray is cast.

 

Sunray doesn't have any effect on her. Just be careful when you walk into the big room on the second floor. Maybe summon something.

You can Negative Plane Protection from the Mace of Disruption +2 (MoD+1 + Adamantium).

 

Use weapons such as the mace of disruption, and only let characters with +4 weapons (IIRC you need +4 too hurt Bodhi, although mace of Disruption should work) and negative plane protection close in with her. Ironskins for Jaheira should protect her for a couple of attacks and if you equip her with the flametongue scimitar she'll be ready to go. Have another character, also protected, attack the supporting vampires with the mace of disruption (which can be upgraded as mentioned) and a sunray from the sword (can't remember it's name, haven't played in quiet some time). Scrolls of Protection from undead can make this fight a little bit to easy, just leave one character unprotected to initiate dialogue.

 

I don't think you need as much as +4, +3 enchantment will do it..

 

It took me months to kill her the first time. I ended up giving up and letting one of my friends have a try. And what did he do? He killed her straight away!

 

I didnt find Bhodi difficult at all. I've done the game solo with 2,3,4,5, and 6 characters as well as 1 with NPC's and not once have i ever found her difficult. No do I recruit Shadow Thieves or Drizzt and CO. to come and take all my experience. Best thing to do is equip a fighter with MoD(upgraded) and another with Daystar, and have them block the door way back to your weaker characters. Then the rest can either attack with missile weapons or use two-handed (because of the reach you can hit from the second row).Its good to have a cleric for this fight, even better two, to cast spells like protection from negative plane on the front liner with daystar and any others if you want them in the front line for the rumble as well, Sunray, False Dawn, Sol's Searing Orb sometimes if this won't work try casting protection from evil radius 10, and a must have weapon for a long range attacker is Azuredge the axe that allows undead a saving throm versus death at-4 or they're utterly destroyed. In addition I like killing Drizzt and his crew for experience and weaponry. A little off topic here but short of cheating is there any way to keep their items instead of that guy coming to collect them from you.

 

The protection from undead scroll is a bit overpowered, but will work. The only time I have found Bodhi to be tough is when I am suddenly caught without a cleric. Now that is irritating.

Drizzt and company are good for taking care of the archers and their seemingly endless supply of arrows. My gang normally takes care of the low-level vampires without too much problem -- thanks, largely, to maces of disruption.

BTW, I thought it was illithium that changed a Mace of Disruption +1 (no neg plane prot) to a Mace of Disruption +2 (with neg plane prot).

 

If I remember right, I also had no problems with the Bondhi Bunch. I didin't use any prot scrolls, had 2 mages to haste etc buff, cleric for neg plane and didin't have any mods installed then.
Though If I remember correctly, I had to reaload once to prove my technique correct (WHICH I cannot remember now ). But it was very easy.

Did clerics Turning ability work on vampires? (cleric lvl 15+)

 

How would you suggest killing her with a solo sorcerer? Not quite there yet but I like to plan in advance.

 

Now that we are talking about Bhodi: Does she belong to a certain type of class?? She isnt a spellcaster, always fights in melee. And her fighting style reminds me of that of the Monk! Is that her class?

 

@Dendri - She doesn't have a class in the same context as your PC. She is a monster, a vampire in fact, an undead. No relation to any PC class at all.

 

I just slaughtered her in melee, with my lvl. 36 solo Stalker. It was kinda easy actually, got some help from Drizzt with the other vampires though...

 

I just killed Bodhi.

I also killed my g/f Aarie

Is there any way how to get Aarie back? Even though she died a vampire?

This got me so disheartened I just quit the game without saving. Imma kill them both again later--3 Sunrays does the trick. (2 Sunrays from Amonem and 1 from the DayBlade sword, and a fourth from the Helmet of Brilliance)

I always lured all the enemies in the Bohdi fight down the corridor. That way there, I could have my negative plane protected characters be the only ones in melee, while the spell casters and unprotected characters stayed in the back. The fight really wasn't THAT bad - at least not how it worked out for me.

 

Yeah the fight wasn't bad, especially if you are loaded with Sunray's and have someone who can operate either Carsomyr, Bone Club, or the Mace of Disruption and equip Jaheira with the Amulet of Power (24-7 NPP!)

Alright, I feel good because we just revived her--morale is so high we should go kill a dragon now!

I had no problem with Bodhi either. My tactic is the same, mace of disruption +2 and amulet of power, chaotic command spells, Well, these are the ones that I always stick to when facing her(Basically melee attacks). All "friends" that can be gathered will help alots too. Btw, you did poison her with holy water didn't you?

As for the solo thing, well.... I believe multi summons will help alots(for protection) while your sorcerer can cast offensive spells.

 

When Viconia is high level, she can control vampires (but not Bodhi).
The Negative Plan Protection spell really sucks, it's a shame, it's too short time.
You really need a fighter with the mace of disruption +2 or a character with the amulet of power or a berserker in front.
I think you need -10 AC on your front fighter and it should be easy.

 

Cleric spells are your friends here. False Dawn, Sunray, Sol's Searing Orb. Ouch!

 

Use a fighter/mage and spell sequence Soneskin/Improved Haste/Tenser's Transformation and just hack away. Or you can have Imoen equip a belt of Giant Strength then cast Mislead and just backstab everyone to death. Justice is sweet.
