Can I do this during Chapter 4 without repercussions throughout the rest of the game?

Do you even have the opportunity to do this?

As far as I remember (correct me please if I don't recall correctly), once he leaves the party, you only see him during a cutscene and you don't have any control on your mouse to ctrl-Q him.

Once you've worked your way up through the bowels of Spellhold, you have to fight him. It gives ample opportunity to Ctrl+Q him, so long as you can pause the game between him becoming visible during an attack and when he re-stealths right in front of you. (Sorry, had to get that off my chest. ;) )

No, it won't cause any trouble if you have him for the latter parts of the game. In fact, it's a well-known cheat to pause the game immediately upon entering the Copper Coronet (or wherever you left him), Ctrl+Q him, and then go get him raised after his scripted auto-death. The only problem is that he won't have any interjections for exclusively late game areas (Underdark, Suldanesselar, ToB, etc.).

Oops! Yes, I had forgotten about the non-joinable Yoshimo.

I also don't remember if he has his heart in his pocket or the heart is dropped through the script. If the former, then you can redeem him too, which will result in a conceptually flawed game.

Someone once said that he has a dialogue in Hell along with everyone else. Looks like taking Yoshimo through SoA might have been initially possible.

Wait a second, if he isn't in your party, how the heck would you get him raised? I don't get it. You mean with his scripted death sequence he doesn't actually disappear from your side bar of characters? He isn't permanently dead?

No, it's not a chunky death, just a fall-down death. He stays on the sidebar.

The way I raise Yoshimo, without cheating is not to take him as a member, then as soon as I walk into the Copper Coronet, I use the Wand of Resurrection on him. He dies, but is immediately brought back to life. You can then speak to him to have Yoshimo back in your party.
