What a joke! I got this postcard in the mail that had a scratch and win thing. So I did it and it was a $1000 shopping spree! All I had to do was go to the Cadillac dealer and pick it up. So I called just to make sure, all I had to do was come down, sign for my certificate and I would be set. Nothing else. No sales pitches. I asked the guy on the phone where the shopping spree was to, he said it was at major online retailers.
Well I had nothing else to do today, so I paid the dealer a visit.
Well I had to listen to "George" (real name witheld) give me a sales pitch on a new Cadddy. I kept telling him I didn't make enough money to buy one. He insisted he could get me great financing so I could afford one.
After all that, I get this postcard for my shopping spree. It has a website. I go there. On the pictures on the postcard was cool stuff like televisions, an XBOX, a computer. I'm thinking, "Cool!"
The most expensive thing on there was something they called a "Reporter's Camera Kit", camera, flash, all that stuff. How much? $50. No brand listed. Though the description does say "famous professional brand." Now, I do some occasional freelance photography. I have a decent camera set-up. Mine is no were near what the full time photographers use, and my whole set up, lenses and all is around $500. I don't know of any camera outfit that is any good costing less than $100.
Sheesh. Just needed to vent. Never falling for this again!
