i just finished ID2 a second time and it feels like it was too short a game. probably because i allready know the solutions to the puzzles (f.e. fell wood). does anyone know if there is an expansion planned?

There isn't. There won't even be any patch despite serious flaws like not working Improved Initiative feat. They're done with IE.

Black Isles isn't gonna make a patch, or expansion.

But that doesn't mean there isn't/won't be one in the future..

We have hundreds of computer and dice geeks working on this around the clock.. (Not individually mind you)

They are sure to turn something up.. You might want to do searches on the web on occassion..

Too short!? Are you joking, I've played for like 12 hours and I'm still in the first chapter.

I think that IWD2 wasn't too short or too long; it had just right length. Although expansion is always welcome.

It's a pity, that they won't fix bugs (like Impr. initiative). One really good thing about IWD1 is that the team made free portraits, wallpapers and even one huge free expansion after the game had been released :)

thanks for your info, even though it's quite sad that there won't be any official expansion.

for all the guys who are happy with the game: good for you (seriously), i'm still unsatisfied with the game, it's nice, not great. but of course i'm spoiled by the outstanding baldurs gate series.

@ shadow sword and harkle, i loved IWD1 too, in fact i just started it again (with both expansions). it has a nice mix of action, story and atmosphere, thats what i'm missing in part two.

finally to kabuki man, i'm well aware of weimer's work and the team bg people, and of course i'm impressed by there selfless work, i was just asking if there's any official stuff planned. i tryed some inofficial addons for BG1&2 and its just not the same extreme high quality i'm used to from IWD1 and BG1&2, so stop *****ing. (i wrote b i t c h i n g, the board is doing that thing with the *)

IWD2 is nice, but it feels to me like BlackIsle/Bioware broke with tradition. thats just my opinion and i wish everybody alot of fun playing the game. i also enjoyed my first run through.

Too short? I've been playing for 2 months now and still haven't managed to finish it.

Maybe it's a good thing I'm not an RPG power player. It means I get more value for money out of my game when it takes me ages to work out what to do next (or I keep getting killed ...... or I realise my party has been terribly designed and I start again...).

At this rate, I'm going to get a year's worth of entertainment out of one game.
