If you could be invincible for one day what would you do?

I was watching a TV show about tornadoes and in it they had this guy who stood right in the path of a huge tornado and filmed it while everyone around him ran for cover. My first thought was about what a complete idiot this man was. My second thought was that he is luckier than leprechaun with a horseshoe up his butt because the the tornado decided to change direction just before the man would have been swept up into it. My third thought was that if I had complete invincibly I could do stupid crap like that and get away with it.

Standing in the middle of a tornado wouldn't be my first choice though. I'd choose something along the lines of walking under the ocean with a very good waterproof light.

What would you do if you were invincible for one day?

 

I'd take a trip to the bank...if you know what I mean.

I thought about that but I'm not sure if that would work Kit - If you were invincible for one day then what would you do the next day when the police caught up with you?

@ Mag- Yep - that might be interesting. Hopefully you don't kill anyone else in the process though .

 

See, I've got all the bases covered except one. The clean-room suits the maintenance guys at my work have to wear are thicker than ours...so you can't see through them, add to that fact that I'd leave no evidence behind (such as fingerprints, hair, or even skin flakes), the only thing they could tell is that I'm tall. Hell, when the maint. supervisor walks through the fab, you can't tell who he is until he speaks...and I've known the guy for 3 years now.

I just need to be able to take a few bullets, should someone be dumb enough to call the cops. As for killing someone...I doubt it would come to that, I'd bring my katana, so if someone kept shooting me, I'd just take their hand off.

Hmm... when I first saw the thread I thought it would be an easy answer - any crazy stunt would do - however, I'm not so convinced now.

The time limit sets logistic problems on reaching most places on Earth, for say diving, parachuting, jumping off cliffs, etc... Most of those would require certain amount of funding as well, and since I don't really like "trip to the bank" line of thought I gave up on those.

The effects are too transitory for any great scheme, too.

The fact that it's 24 hours only means that, regardless of what I try I would regret not trying a number of other things and on top of that, I'd feel sorry when the power disappeared the next morning.

So... after careful deliberation (and at the risk of sounding quite dull):
I'd probably do what I do every other day.

Might post an add, though:

"Trading 24 hours of invincibility for same time amount of telekinesis, teleportation or power of flight."


EDIT: If I had the power, but had no idea that it ends in a day, I'd probably try all sorts of silly things and get myself killed the next morning in a random insane way.

It might take more than a day to dig you out of the hole in the ground you'd create....so I hope you can hold your breath.

 

It depends. If you knew when you were gonna be invincible beforehand you could plan it out.
If that was the case, a bathyscaphe trip to the bottom of challenger deep, then activate the invincibility to explore & photograph the deepest place on earth for 23 1/2 hours.
Reenter the bathyscaphe & ascend to the surface a mere mortal again. But with pictures guaranteed to beat anybody elses vacation pics. Ever.

If no prior knowledge of when, than i would probably go to the zoo & wrestle a tiger.

Yeah, but I'd be counting on her short-term memory to fail. (There's a first time for everything...)

 

Film my own reality TV show of crazy stunts that I could sell to TV networks around the world for a fortune.

 

Maybe jump off some buildings or something -- couldn't do a lot of the things I'd like to do because of the consequences the next day, but whatever.

 

I presume by invincible we're including impervious to pain as well?

As pathetic as it sounds I'd take the opportunity to have a normal day

 

@Lore - OK so then what would you do? I don't mind trading imaginary invincibility for any other imaginary abilities. Go for it! Time limit still applies though .
