I'm sure that I saw a topic like this over a year ago but I didn't even know what forum to start looking in and I tried whatnots but I didn't find it... anyway.

What would your weapon of choice be? for me I'd take Scimitar because they seem to be very versatile and strong because, you can stab, slash and whatever you want to do with it.

Or if not that I'd take a Quarter Staff. No really I would, stop laughing, Those things really can be one of the most leathal medieval weapons in the right hands.

Hmm, what weapon would I want to "BE"? I think I would want to be some useless weapon that nobody wants to use (like a non-magic Club). Then I wouldn't get whacked into people all the time (which surely must hurt) and could just hang out back in the castle in the nice warm armoury.

I doubt they had things in the Medieval day's such as +1-3 or Celestial Fury or Daystar or whatever.

This is about REAL weapons that used to exist, magic in THIS realm, plane, reality, existance whatever term you prefer never existed, believe it or not, but it's the truth I tell ye, the truth ;)

What kind of weapon I'd want? Preferably a slightly curved sword, much like a scimitar. Longswords are a tad too long and heavy for my taste, and a shortsword is too small. I like the slashing you can do with a scimitar.

Either that or a mace. No matter wether you're a tincan or not, if I hit you, you'll end up hurting

A light, long, straight, slash and stabbable weapon that I could parry with too. Rapier?

A long slightly curved Scimitar. I have a picture of it, but I won't upload it to you folks. You don't deserve to see such a beauty :D

Two brilliantly crafted short swords wielded simultaneously.

    Or a good longbow.

    So hard to choose.

First choice would be a flail. Definitely. Longswords are too ... well ... not half as intimitading and sinister.

Second choice would either be shortsword and shortbow, closely followed by a quarterstaff (a weapon you always have an excuse and use for - three legs tire more slowly).

Long bow/ crossbow - most likely the long bow, easier to fire, especially for me  120 pounds worth of pulling power to load a crossbow? that'd take me 10 minutes at least. Long bows I'm pretty good with.

Staff - Definately, :) double up as a handy pole vault, Staff has to be one of the most practical things out there.

Hmm... Rapier :D anything fatter/longer and its too heavy for me to hold/weild accurately, either a rapier or a Katana... Umm, katana.

    I would choose a dagger.
You know - sneak, stab, run.
The epic battles I will gladly leave to the 'heroes'. :p

A big tower shield (try and get past that ;) )and a spear (No need to get too close), with a short-sword back up (Legionaire, anyone/?). Course, being a Scotsman, I could have you all with a sharp toe-nail ;) .
