    It did not even occur to my parents that I would be anything other than a boy, so they didn't have any names if I came out a girl.

    I actually know what my name would have been if I had been a girl. I was looking through my mom's scrapbook and it included a baby shower card that my mother received dated about a month before I was born that was congratulating her on the coming birth of Spencer or Susan.

    Given that my given name is in fact Spencer, I think that it is fairly safe to say that if I had been a girl then my name would have been Susan.

    It would have been Prisca instead of Nicolas, and Prisca is a latin name that means "ancient". Also, one of my father's choices for a male name was Neri, that in italian means "blacks" (the "s" is not a mistake, it's a name in plural form....).
    Yes, my daddy sometimes is a complete weirdo!
