    Couter-Strike is the only 1st person shooter game worth trying. Cuz if you dont like that I´m pretty sure you wont like the others.

    Although, note that you´ll have to buy Half-Life to be able to play Counter-Strike. (Valid CD-key needed to play online)

    No, you can now play Counter-Strike for free through Steam. It's the beta version 1.6 not 1.5, so a few things have changed like the inclusion of Riot Shields but other than that it's mostly the same. Steam also lets you play the full versions(including single player) of Half-Life, Opposing force and a few other mods. From what I can tell, there are also a lot less cheaters in 1.6.

    But, I think both Enemy Territory and America's Army are much better games than CS! If I had just played CS in order to judge the other two games, I probably wouldn't play them either! The graphics are outdated, game play is much worse, no real "teamwork" involved. Other than the huge arsenal of weapons you can choose from, and the low system requirements I don't see why it's so popular.

    Dont feel like you´re all that updated.
    It´s all about teamplay. It´s just when you play public most people only care about their stats and dont giv a "rats behind" about TP. And that´s why you gather some friends and play PCW. That´s where the real beauty of CS is. Graphics isn´t as good as they are in todays 1st P shooter games. But that´s exactly WHY it´s so big. Because everyone can play it. You dont need a computer worth $2500 to play. And graphics dont matter that much anyway. Only the first few times you play a game you say "Wow, great graphics" after that you´re used to it. Works the other way around to. Might say "Not very good graphics" but after a few times you dont notice anyway.

    Enemy Territory is a great expansion for a great game :)

    And you don't even need to have Wolfenstein installed to play it :)

    It's a real team-based game and recently updated to version 2.0 -which is a lot better than CS, ET, or AA. Give it a try. ;)

    Duke, Ugh Counter Strike is worse then Horrible. Like I won't get into how much the game stinks.
    Americas Army was decent. I was just to busy with something esle at the time of the release.
    And I haven't heard or played the other two, in this thread.

    Wolfenstein ET is a game I've been dreadfully addicted to. StarWars Galaxies is something I'm recently trying to get into so I play ET less.
