[IMG] I've heard tell on these forums that the Improved Mace of Disruption strikes as a +5 weapon despite being only +2 to hit. Is this true? I knew that you could hurt Kangaxx and the named vampires with it, but I assumed that this was because they were undead.

Yes it is. I don't think it matters that they're undead...except perhaps for the instant death effect. Does Azuredge hit Kangaxx?

I laid down Critical Strike and killed Kangaxx in one hit...that was fun.

    EDIT: Checked:

The regular Mace of Disruption is also considered to be +3 when determining what it can hit.

i never knew that the Improved Mace of Disruption can act as a +5 weapon
so i think it went from a +2 to (technically) a +5 weapon with a simple coating of Illithium, cool :D

best mace in the game, i reckon

although the "un-illithiumed" mace actually looks better than the upgraded version which just looks like a vanilla mace +1

@ Ivellos - vanilla is used to describe any generic item that has nothing so distinguish it from others of its kind so yes in this contact a vanilla mace+1 means the standard mace+1 that has no special name/powers/description.

which is funny because a mace +1 isn't supposed to be vanilla. A regular non-enchanted mace is vaniila. :p

I suppose but vanilla is a completely relative term. Generic +1 weapons are as common as ditchwater and there are so many special weapons that they are pretty well the normal weapons used instead of being something rare and significant.

When it gets right down to it you could modify the mace of disruption and then contrast it to a vanilla mace of disruption.
