They play this song on the Oldies station from time to time, and all these years growing up I had no idea that Indian Lakes was in Bloomingdale.

Now it looks like in the wake of a mass shooting, Bloomingdale intends to shut it down for good. Similar to the Browns Chicken after the infamous massacre in Palatine back when mass shootings were thankfully rare and virtually unheard of.

I just find it funny that I've lived in Chicagoland all my life, heard that song on the radio numerous times over the years, and never realized it was practically in my back yard.

I honestly don't know much about Indian Lakes, just that it had a popular song about it and that some idiot has spoiled it for everyone. Apparently they've had a bit of financial trouble in the last couple years and COVID hasn't helped.
