[IMG] Just finished the Slavelords temple to get Celestial Fury and went to the Adv Mart to unload some old stuff in favor of some new and better stuff. Scrolling thru my inventory items the value of a ring of fire control had jumped to over 19 million!! Thought it might be a fluke, so reloaded from the last quick save and got the same thing. So, most quick like, I tried to sell the ring and the merchant bought it!! My gold is now not a problem!!

Question: Is this a serious problem? Has anyone else had such "good" fortune? Is it likely to be the herald of doom later on in the game play?

Wow! Ribald must have some bigshot buyer lined up to shell out that kind of cash! :)

How much was it to buy back?

Actually, it was 19,690,200 gp. And the merchant upstairs with the special wares had the same price, but I gave my business to my old friend Ribald. HeHe. When I checked he was selling it for the normal price of 3,690gp. I think his abacus snapped a string or something! Just hope it's not "phantom" gold that will eventually disappear.

All my gang got shiny new boots, swords, spells, whatever they wanted!! (Actually didn't get much--everyone is pretty well equiped already--at least for what they can use)

[IMG] Yeah, you're probably right. I did go by the Mart, though and the door was still open. Didn't try to go in though.

I do think maybe he put a curse on me, too. I've just noticed my map marker pins seem to falling out! (I'm starting to think re-install time). Bummer!
