    [IMG] Hello,
Im wondering where I could get inspiration for DnD campaigns/NWN Modules. I've got literally thousands of ideas but not the way to put them all together. Links would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

If you've got loads of ideas then why don't you just make them like a maze sort of thing, where you have to go through strange places to find the exit or whatever

What a coinsidence! While eating my breakfast this morning I read about inspiration particles (Discworld, of course :)). They're smaller than atoms and float around in the universe, and if you're lucky one of them will hit you. If you're not so lucky, it'll hit a nearby crow and it will know exactly how to make your Neverwinter Nights module .

[IMG] Ok, actually answering gopher's question, i had this idea before NWN was out. I would have made it on NWN myself but my computer's hard drive is f*cked and im broke  The idea is that you create a sort of barricade/fort. In winter setting (ok it's sounding like IWD 2 here. Then you have a sort of armoury room where you can arm (obviously). Then after a time (or a button press, or some trigger) enemies of many types start breaking through and you have to go along the corridor killing them. You have to get to the middle of the fort, where you find out that the enemies are bursting out of this portal. Then you destory the portal, somehow.

Jus my idea, as i already said i don't have NWN so can't try it out myself.

  5. Oooh! I know! A duergar ranger who triple-wields cutlasses and has a pet Lion called Sir Lancelot who lives in a diamond statue! He fights on the side of the eight-towns in the roasting tundra of Firewind Dale, and he has a mortal enemy, who is a dwarven assassin called Artemis Fowl. (He wields a walking cane).

Make a LotR module. That would be interesting.

:wail:Me is sad. me gets NWN in November 1th, if i have good grades. Me needs a hug.

Hmmm.... I was thinkin of doing a Discworld Book/NWN module conversion...would this work do you think?
One thing is clear on my mind, i want NO hack or slashing. I'm a very Role-Play type person, and would prefer idle chatting to combat anyday.
Unfortunately English isn't my native tongue, even though I Live in the UK, and so most sadistic-humour is a little beyond me. I simply cannot write it.
    Ideas?

Edit: And I did initially mean D&D here, but feel free to branch to NWN, as I think i'd be better at that.:p

    Edit2: Check your PM's 8people

[IMG] I think a discworld book would be brilliant! Though might be difficult to create. I'd try Eric or something with Granny Weatherwax in it

Hey if you need sarcasm and stuff I'm sure something will come up on the forums (parents, good source of sarcasm)

I'll help with anything! I like helping :)

[IMG] Doctor Morningmist, you are never correct. You see, I feel that in order to acquire a perfect perfunctory, with racial integrity, of course, you'd need a campaign about peanut thieves and disfunctional moss families, an odd infatuation, but a true one. This has come from a poll, which was given to me by my good friend Doctor Fire Assham (he's an undercover prostitute for a British proctologist clan).

Also, fortunately, pecans would supply a vigorous feeling and therefore would require the companionship of Bohemian urine samples for just one low price: 9 cents. 'Sense' if you're from somewhere else. Or 4,000,000 oprahabushandgores (American Money). The relationship between the two acronyms - NWN and DND is purely fictional, as the strongarms and blackguards and whitefishes of mercantile dellusion have invaded a particular region off of the tropical GoreBlood HellShower Forest of ElfGloom (warcraft 3) and the old Granny Bar.

The characters will be Rui-Hamiui-schx'eznillia StormGrin and Lord Diabetes FoulShard (warcraft 3). Upon pronunciation of their names, your soul shall be cleansed and you shall become a religious hypocrite. Hark! Fatten of the gloom of the soul of your friend of the tavern!

Of course not, don't be silly...

Anyway, on topic: Aahh a discworld setting would be interesting. Main character a wizzard with INT of about 6 but with the special innate ability "Summon luggage". Also, his walking speed doubles if he is moving away from a hostile creature.

[IMG] To start with here is a link that might help. http://mips.complang.tuwien.ac.at/alex/Handbooks/WWWPlots/

Coming up with ideas is not that hard. Putting them in a working context for D&D takes a little longer. But you are right the seed of the idea is the start. I'd start with a little brain storming. List all the ideas you'd want to have in your adventure. Now pick the one or two you like the best. Now make a list of what the 'hostiles' have to do to complete their objective. For the example the evil slaver want to take over a small village. Now make a list of why the PCs are involved. By this pont more and more will br falling into place. The last two lists are of important places and people. At this point you should be 75% down. Now you just have to make a few maps and flush out the details.

I hope this helps. Send me a PM if you want to work on any ideas together.
