Installation Questions

    [​IMG] Okey, I haven't played this game for a couple of months now and I have decided to give this a game another chance. Before installing the game I would have some questions answered.

    1)Do I have to install patch 1 if I have patch 2??

    2)Is the Co8 patch compatible with patch 2??

    3)How do I install the wicks/wedge mod?? The read-me file says that I should only extract the files to my main TToEE folder but the mod don't seem to work if I do that :mad:

    I'm guessing you have to install the two official patches separately, and in order. The first is 9MB, the second only 5MB. So either they REALLY shrank the patch the second time around, or that's 14MB of cumulative fixes.

    The newest Co8 patch is compatible with the newest official patch. However, DON'T install the Co8 patches in order. Install both the official patches, and then install only the most recent Co8 patch.

    That's what worked for me, anyway.

    Yeah. Too bad the newest Co8 removes the good advantage from before that makes NPC's loot only cash, not equipment. Made the mere thought of using NPC's a joke. But otherwise it does fix a lot of things in the game.

    The latest patch contains all the fixes, so you only need that one. How they managed it size-wise is a mystery, but the Troika guy who made the patch said himself that the last patch contains all the fixes from patch #1 as well.

    Is there a .zip version of the co8_303 patch??

    I'm having trouble extracting the files from the .rar version. I'm using ZipGenius btw.

    Then get winrar instead. It's basically the only best packing software out there anyway. :)

    Yep, Winrar did the trick :) It even made the Wick Wedge mod work :D

    With the official patch, the Co8 patch and the Wick Wedge mod installed this game may even be fun :D
