I havent been able to find any posts reguarding this so I hope I am not reopening a recent post. I am having trouble installing BG2 I get a component not found error message. Iknow why and I cant remember the down load I was suggested. I have XP and I have looked over other links and so far the only down load that worked for me was a installer that was not windows related. I installed it last time I had this problem. Does anyone out there have a quick easy solution that a computer idiot could use or a down laod for a installer that will let me install BG 2 on XP ?

Well, for me it installed (and played, many times) just fine on XP. What was the specific error message?

Well I have problems. You probbly have somthing I dont have. When I downloaded the proper install program the error went away. The error was this component: Required Data. File Group: hdo data. File e:/ data 2.cab. Error: Incorrect Function. I know what the problem is thats whats frustrating. I just need this installer and it goes away. I remember somone having this same issue and the post ...on here infact pretty much linked me to a direct link to solve it. Unless there is somthing I am missing and that wont do it .
