[IMG] Hi everyone, first time poster, long time reader here!

Anyways, I am soloing through Icewind Dale as a Elf Fighter/Mage/Thief. So far, it has been pretty easy (although i'm not very far, only the vale of shadows). My question is to anyone who has solo'ed before in this game, what do you do with all the loot you get?? Do you go to the nearest store every single time your inventory fills up to sell things off? Or perhaps you store things in a cache near the entrance to a dungeon? or do you just leave most of the loot sitting where you find it? Any help would be appreciated, because so far i've just been going to Kuldahar to sell things off every time my inventory fills up!

There are plenty of scroll cases and such like to help with a lot of it. But this game is not time sensitive, so you can easily keep going back and forth to the shop(s) and also heal yourself, etc. It's cheesy, but it works - that's what I did anyway.

[IMG] Gem & potion bags and scroll cases are HoW expansion additions, not present in the original game without HoW installed.

@ Tal : Sorry - it's been a long time since I played IWD without HoW installed.

Well, since you only have to have gold to buy equipment for one character it isn´t really a problem. Just keep what you know is worth some money. I mean a Masterwork Mace isn´t really worth selling. You´ll find enough magic equipment and weapons to afford the stuff you want to buy.

Since you get around with 6 chars and only 6 inventories you will do fine with one char and one inventory ;)

As Duke Eltan said, just pick valuable stuff. You may still need to throw magic items away, but you don't have to worry about that: you will get lots of money to use. If your inventory is full you can drink potions away, use scrolls etc.

And when you've used some special item and you know, that you don't need it anymore, throw it away.
