Is there any way to get the game to pause when checking out your inventory screen, like in Baldur's Gate 2?

I want to start a new game, so I'm willing to install any MODs or anything to get this to work. I find it really frustrating when I can't do this and I get attacked trying to reload darts or throwing daggers.

Well I know BGtutu does the trick considering it uses the BGII engine but I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for.

I feel your pain. Multiplayer BG1 has the 'pause while looking at inventory' thing. The reason I play MP for TotSC anymore. Someone here can give you more info on this trick:

Apparently, (I've not tried it) you can start a MP game, save, quit and move the MP save to the singleplayer folder. This should let you play singleplayer with the paused inventory.

    I *think*. :)

But playing multiplayer isn't that big of a hassle, especially considering the usefulness of pausing and looking in the inventory screen.

Wow, that's really cool, I never knew that!

I've always had problems with multiplayer, I can never start a game.
