I am sure that this has been covered as I remember reading a thread on here about how to kill the trolls in the missing Boo quest though I cannot find it anywhere (searched for about 15 minutes with no result)

Any help in locating this thread or info on how to kill these trolls (I tried ctrl+y but nothing happened) would be much appreciated.
    Cheers

A workaround is probably posted over at PPG. I'd check there.

    I had this.

The trick is after inflicting lots of damage you need to RUN AWAY!

    Seriously.

For some reason while you are pilling on the damage sometimes the programme will not initiate the death due to the regeneration. But if you run off, then it should kick in, sometimes you have to try this a few times.

I know it sounds crazy but trust me it works.

Of course have the fire, acid, poison etc ready! ;)

That solution doesn't work against this particular problem; this one is different and confined to UB AFAIK.

When I played through and experienced this bug, I just removed the minimmum hitpoint item from the offending trolls. I probably could have replaced the item with a non-malfunctioning one, but was lazy.

Any advice then (apart from what Drew did as I am not too sure what he did) on how to finish this fight to progress with the story line?

Wait, troll fights? Sorry to go off-topic, but where do you fight trolls?

Part of the Missing Boo quest in UB involves getting accidentally transported to the Druid Grove, where some trolls appear that seem to be invincible (unintentionally, I'm sure).
