Ok, aren’t you supposed to be able to attack invisible opponents? I know there really are not a lot of them in the game (aside from Gray Dwarves) but darn it is annoying in the final battle when Isair goes invisible. The clerics spell Invisibility Purge is almost worthless. I cast it twice and still could not see Isair. Dispel Magic does not work either. Thankfully See Invisible works as it should.

Anyway, while Isair was invisible I could put my cursor on him and tell my team to attack; however, they would just stand there for a second and then start attacking Madae again. Does the Blind Fight feat allow them to attack invisible opponents? Does anything allow them to attack invisible opponents?

Grumble Grumble, well being invisible did not save him in the end...

I have killed the lich in fields of slaugher with area effect spells like fireball.

As far as I can remember, invis. purge is an area effect spell. As is dispel.

Wheras see invis. (like true sight) is focused on the caster, and works for several rounds.

IMHO, I think you may have been out of range. In IwD1, down where all those thieves attack you, I ran into this problem. Purge works for about 6 of them, but there always another 2 or 3 waaaaay off to the side that you have to wait on before they show up.

It could not have been a range thing with Isair. My cleric was standing right beside him while he chopped my poor paladin to pieces. Same thing happened in the prison in Dragons Eye with the Mage and the troll. After I freed the prisoners that crazy mage attacked and while I killed his stupid troll he went invisible. I was right beside him, he never moved, and cast invis purge to no effect. I ended up killing the mage with acid storms and fire storms.

As to Isair, I used my one see invisible in the first battle so that when he went invisible in the second battle by the pool I could not do anything to harm him. I really did not think dispel would work on him, but at that point it was worth a shot. I ended up reloading and for some reason the second time through he did not go invisible in either battle (although he did use some spell that made him impervious to any type of damage for a few rounds-that sucked a big one). But since my characters could see him they turned him into a pin cushion with +5 arrows.

Had the same problem so i decided to go for Madaeaeaee or whatever the name... They really should fix the invisibility nonsense because Improved Invisibility + Non Detection = GOD. They should put a spell called I See You All :D

Improved Invisibility is currently bugged. It is expected to be fixed in the upcoming patch.

In the meantime, if you want your melee types to target an Improved Invis character, you can use the "Guard" function. If you have them guard the area the Inviso-scum is in, they will beat on him. Of course, Blindfighting feat really makes the beatings a lot more effective. :)

I believe Isair also casts Nondetection, which is why Invisibility Purge does not work in his case. It did work for me against the lich, who also uses Improved Invisibility.
