[IMG] For christmas i got one of those IQ cubes.

this particular one is (was) shaped like a quadratic cube, built up by several pieces. I picked it apart carefully thinking "this doesn't look that hard" and memorizing how it was built up.

Of course i haven't been able to put it back together again since i picked it apart, and I can't think of any place on the entire WWW better than this place to ask for help! Does any of you know of a website or something that has solutions for these kinds of things? It didn't follow in the gift, so i have absolutely no idea how to put it back together?

Typically those types of puzzles come with the solutions... maybe you should ask who gave it to you if they took it out. Maybe they wanted you to work on it a while before being handed the solution...

Nope, they didn't take it out, they always thought the solution was in there too.

Although you have a point though, they are the kind that might have done just that and still keep the solution.

I used to play with one of those cubes when I was little. I think the brand was Soma, and it came with pictures (no solutions) of all sorts of cool things you could build. If it's the same cube with the same pieces, I could type out a solution for you.

There are 7 pieces in mine. Each piece has 4 squares in it (except one - it has 3), and together they build up a 3x3x3 cube. Is this the same one as yours?

I don't think they are the same Blog, mine has a bunch of pieces all of them different from the other.
Don't even think this thing has a brand at all? :hmm:

I'm actually quite patient, but not patient enough to sit with that thing for 3 weeks straight to figure it out :p

Afraid not, the pieces don't "stick" together, they are all separate ones that fit into a nice little cube once you figure out how they all work together and stuff. Wish i had a camera, i could have taken a pic of it. But i don't...

But wow, that's a lot of different cubes!
