[IMG] I've finally started playing Shadows of Amn for a second time. There is one thing I noticed the the first time I played it, but didn't give it much mind.

When you enter Irenicus's Bedroom in his dungeon, the game warns you that something is not what it seems....

I assumed, before, that it was warning about traps. Is there something more to the warning?

When you leave the room after taking the portal key from the dresser or chest(I forget)and try to leave the room, some golems show up.(unless you waxed them in the little sideroom already)

EDIT: There are 5 or 6 normal traps in the room, so be well prepared with potions and antidotes.

[IMG] Thank you. The room you mentioned isn't Irenicus's, but, instead, the room he created for his long lost love.

The room I am referring to is located between the Portal room and the dyrads. It has a fireplace is a large mirror.

    SPOILER

The odd feeling you get while being in Mr. Irenicus' room is probably because you're standing next to the bed where a soulless, crazed, ex-elven super-sorcerer with a vampire for a sister sleeps.

Yeah, my bad. There are some traps in that room, but nothing else, I don't think.

EDIT: I think they just put it in for suspense or something.

I'll describe the real reason for the alarm.

Somewhere in the southwest corner of the dungeon are two Lesser Clay Golems.

There is no way to avoid tripping the alarm, and once you do, it sets the Lesser Clay Golems into motion.

If you killed them beforehand, the alarm still goes off, even though there is no longer any real point to it.

In my first (bugged) game before I installed the patch I killed those two lesser clay golems and they came back to life after I tripped the alarm.

They only had 1 HP each and I got XP for killing them again. Seemed so strange...

In my (almost) bug free, patched game that I'm close to finishing now, they stayed dead.

[IMG] He isn't referring to that room!

It is the room south of the portal - not the round room with the hilt of the equaliser - THAT room has an alarm, floor traps, a potion of thievery, some other stuff and is the room of his lost love - Queen of the elves Elly!

The room in question is the room north of that, North of the Dryads, South of the Portal where upon entering you get the little 'shout-box' say ing there is something strange. I believe it is there because of the stray magic and evil present in the room and that somehow obtains a helm of Balduran and a hole in the south instead of a door :shake:
