[IMG] Has anyone tried Ironman mode yet? It is really hard!!! Which kinda makes it fun!

    No re-roll on character creation
    No starting gold
    No saves.

Good stuff...Although my entire party got wiped out at the moathouse! ;)

yeah, I'm playing Ironman. Had two parties wiped out but now I'm on the 2nd lvl of the Temple and feel confident I'll make it the rest of the way.

It is hard as hell right now, but I am confident that it will prove to be the better way to play the game. I welcome the challenge.

[IMG] Ironman is definitely the way to go! I started a new Ironman game while I await the offical patch from Atari. Ironman is a blast...But pretty tough too!

The biggest obstacle to overcome is the lack of starting gold! My party is second level now, but I still don't have 100gps between my party. I have the Radiant long sword and boots of elvenkind, but not enough gold to ID them!

I think I like Ironman better, because it is very much like DnD on paper. The threat of death for my characters is ever present! Plus, the key to survival is tactics!!! This isn't just a click-fest, the turn based approach makes each action pretty important.

Now I just have to figure out how to keep Spugnoir from taking all my scrolls!!!

Exactly, one of the reasons I like this new turn-based style (well, I guess it isn't new), but the reason I like it is b/c of the strategic way in which you must act to survive. If I wanted a click fest, I would head to the arcade... Other than that, I am just waiting fir the patch myself..
