Just out of curiosity. So all of you Foreigner do you consider Canada a Nordic country, because we *have* Summer with, and there aren't Snow at Vancouver! So what's the verdict?

[IMG] I'm under the impression (maybe wrongly), that "nordic" is reserved for the Scandinavians (and the Finish ?). I've never heard someone talk about Russia and Japan as "nordic". Nor about Argentina as "Southlandic". Canada is Canadian, I think.

The Nordic countries are Norway, Iceland, The Faroe Islands, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, and the Scandinavian countries are Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

The closest thing that I can think of for a reason someone might think of us as Nordic would be that the Vikings were here a thousand years ago. Other than that, there really isn't a reason to think that.

Bah, I know that. I sometimes wonder if I am in southern Europe or northern Europe. I settled on being the northermost of the southern and the southernmost of the northern.
