I am about to finish off Baldur's Gate Enhanced, and am wondering if going through The Black Pits are worth it.

I transferred my character over for a test, and he is naked. Is there any gear or tomes that increase stats that increase that make Black Pits worth while? I am also worried about losing the Helm of Balduran and Golden Pantaloons for good.

I suppose I could right before the end of Black Pits transfer my character over and go get the pantaloons, but I am not about to go all the way through to get the helm again.

Also on a side note, is it possible to take the Cloak of Balduran with me into Baldur's Gate 2?

You lose all your items going into BG2. The Pantaloons can be found in a duengon if you have it in your inventory. You will be fine level wise just using your BG1ee save to transfer to SoD or SOA. THe Black pits gets repeative and I just skipped it.

The Black Pits is best played as a completely separate endeavour from the main campaign. Make a new party and go through it.

My last time through Enhanced I carried with me to Baldur's Gate 2 was the flame tongue found on a table with the golem, Faldoran's plate with the dwarves (it is normally Mail of the Dead), Balduran's helm in the room before the dryads.

That's just weird. But it's SoD, so whatever.

The weirdest part about the BG:EE Black Pits is that there's a level cap of 10. Level cap, not XP cap, which means multiclass characters can reach truly ridiculous levels of power in the Black Pits (while single class characters are gimped at max level 10).
While you lose the extra XP/levels if you try to export your character, the Black Pits might well as well be a different game since the meta is very different.

Yeah, i wouldn't reccomed importing a black pits character to BG2, unless you want to be really OP right out of the gate.
The content is alright, and if you want to take baeloth along during the regulkar game you might want to play it to get introduced to the character, but i'd suggest doing so with a completely different character/party altogether.
