[IMG] Well, straight to the point: will Imoen do as a thief through SoA and even in ToB?

If all you want out of your Thief is the essentials (dealing with locks and traps), then yes, Imoen will do (save the ring of lockpicks, the ring of danger sense, and some potions of master thievery, just in case).

If you want Thief HLAs, backstabbing, stealth skills, pickpocketing, or trap setting, then no, she's not enough of a Thief.

Yes, she is always the only NPC with thieving skills in my party. If you need something pick-pocketed, just buy a few potions of master thievery to your potion bag and no problem. ;)

If you need backstabbing and traps, then she isn't that good choise as a only thief. IMO, those aren't really necessary.

No, I'm just looking for the usual everyday stuff - disarming traps and picking locks. I always go with Jan, though I'm gonna skip him now. Going for Imoen for the first time ever for me. Played through the game like 20+ .. :p

Yes she's fine for picking locks and disarming traps. And she can get the Knock spell as well for the few times when her picking locks ability fails her.
