Is there a disarm traps item?

    Does anyone know of an item that helps to improve the disarm traps stat? I am planning on using Immy as my thief once I rescue her from Irenicus's evil clutches. Today I found the Ring of Lockpicking for the first time ever! So now all I need is a disarm traps item and she's all set. Disarm traps item? Anyone?

    There is a ring of Danger sense, and I'm pretty sure it's SoA. If not, don't expect to see this post around for long! Where youfind it, though, I have no idea -- sorry!

    If I'm not mistaken, the Mercykiller ring boosts both open locks and disarm traps (by like 20%), but you can only get it if you have the bonus merchants installed (you buy it from Diedre in the Adventurer's Mart). I think Jan's gloves can be worn by anyone, but I'm not certain.

    The Ring of Danger Sense is in the planar sphere, I'm pretty sure.

    I'm just not sure about a damn thing, apparantly! :D

    Nope Mercikiller is set traps/sneak/hide.

    Ring of Danger Sense...Planar Sphere...i'm on it!

    I couldn't remember if it was the lockpicking ring or the danger sense one in the planar sphere. Where did you find the lockpicking ring? If you need help finding the ring in the sphere, I can help you there -I know exactly where the ring is, even if I'm too dumb to remember which ring it is!

    The lockpicking ring is located in the Shadow Thieve's headquarters. You have to go down to the Aran Linvail level. Then you have to head east from the trainer (chick with name like Patella or something). At that point head north a bit and you'll come across a guy who tries to get you to help assassinate Aran. An eaves dropper will tell you to kill him for his treachery. Do it and loot. Now those stifeling little locks are a thing of the past. Now where is the nearest bank vault...?

    [​IMG] Dis-arm traps item? yes. I use a Paladin with a lot of hit points and good saves!!

    He doesn't disarm diddly squat.... but never complains about the abuse...

    You could, of course, use that character you were thinking about replacing anyway... :eek:

    Stu, that's because Jan's equipment can only be used by Jan. I think that applies to all his stuff (though i have a feeling the gloves or goggles can be used by other people), it applies to his armour slot item certainly.
