Is there a mod that allows bards spell level to go up?

    There are a bunch of higher level spells that I would love to get my bard to be able to cast. Sure there are a couple of scrolls to use as one shot items but they run out. :p

    A shame we have to rely on mods for this. Bards were supposed to reach level 8 spells, the developers originally intended it and that's how it was supposed to be in AD&D but that content was cut at the last minute. Probably because access to level 8 spells would have put them dangerously within mage/sorcerer territory, and bards already had a lot of content planned for them in ToB (trap HLAs, UAI and EBS along with rapid epic-level advancement). I've read over at the BGEE boards that inconsistencies like these will be addressed officially if and when BG2:EE gets made.
