[IMG] I have been a DM for over 22 years now and strongly oppose the notion of a players power being limited by the game. If I told my player characters they had reached the maximum level they would stop playing immediately. I feel the same way when this happens to me in a computer game. I usually avoid the main plot lines in these games and wander around testing the limits of what the game has to offer. (Morrowind is very good for this) I will surely reach the level cap before the game is done. Will the old teambg hacks work? Does anyone have an idea? - Hemogobbler -

I think you have to remember, however that the game is made like this to revent you becming too powerful and therefore finding no challenge in the game.
Believe me, my friend cheated to get his characters to level 50 and the final battle was such a let down that it ruined the entire game for him.

Also remember that this is a game based on the pnp version, not of the pnp version.

I'd have to agree with Daragorn, in that yes, the level cap is somewhat unrealistic, but would you rather the game be fun or follow the rules exactly?

Remember their is only so much to do in BG and Tales only offers a little more. TeamBG has the mod DSotSC that adds a lot of stuff and takes the cap to level 40! Or you could buy BGII and ToB to level up and finish out your character;)
