I tried to find with a search ended, but since I couldn't find one I wondered if someone had a link to a planner.

I suppose no one has created one, since characters are fairly straightforward to create in IWD2? There aren't really all that many variables to play around with, unless going for themed and/or roleplay parties or something like that.

Hi Sir Rechet. It isn't too hard to plan. It would be a convenience. The hardest part is feats, though of course you can use a pen and paper and study them. It's also a little hard to manage skills say when you are trying to get 10 spellcraft while also trying for other skills. For that matter it would be awesome to know when and where you need a skill check for example a conversation skill.

I know 3rd edition pretty well having played PnP but I imagine it is new to many gamers..

A fairly good rule of thumb about skills is that you'll need around (Chapter number) x 2.5, plus/minus a few to pass most relevant checks, across the board. There are also surprisingly many checks against the speaking character's primary stats, class or quest triggers elsewhere.
