Only if You have it very high. Then it gives You bonusses in saving throws against Mind spells.I dont know if he alo gain bonusspells with high wisdom, just as the priest. This You will have to ask the many paladins in here. Where are You Avooch Dar? :D

But if its better worth than con, dex or strengt. I dont think so :D

You can always make a superhero with great all-over stats :p

It doesn't affect dialogue options in BG1&2. You are probably thinking of 'inteligence' in Planescape Torment, which adds dialogue options. In PsT wisdom gives you an expereince point bonus and helps (I think) you to recall more memories.

Doesn't lore also depend on wisdom, and bonus priest spells fer a paladin?

    The Lore bonus does apply.
I think I can recall something now. The first time playing BG2 I had a palain with 20 in int. "the tomes of Bg1" I dont remember him getting bonus spells. So my answer to this will be that he isn't granted more spells from his god because of his high wisdom. Sad.. :(

intelligence affects some dialogue different places in the game. Can only remember the one with solaufein in Ust Natha, somthing about he asks you what a devourer is

wis-18, as I chose for my halfling cavalier ( :D ), gives you a +4 bonus vs. mind affecting spells. I found this advantage really valuable.

My manual tells me that a pally doesn´t gain extra spells due to high wis. At le vel 20 a paladin would have 3 spells of priest spell lvl-1/ -2/ -3/ -4 as a max.

In this case, ye just can leave the wisdom at it's minimum, fer it wont affect anything at any valuable extent. (Its not like leaving int at 7 and feeling that ye're even *um* dumber than Minsc) Sinking wis might grant ye some points fet other abilities, always valuable (unless ye sit and roll abilities til ye get something like 105 in total :))

When you look to the game, it's not necessary. When you look to AD&D, it is necessary. And for the game is based on AD&D it would be realistic to give your Paladin high wisdom.
