    I got my Avatar (the first one, that was one *big* Gopher ;) ) through writing the (in)famous Gopher's Item/Spell making guides for the TeamBG Infinity Editor.
    Then I submitted several re-touched Portraits for Baldur's Gate (both new and re-used old).
    Then I sent Tal some money for Christmas.

    There's a link giving you different ways to get One...I think it's in the FAQ (read it!).
