I have turned the corner.

It was a strange thing. A couple of months ago, I ran into the "light side" of the BoM. I had always been proud of my participation in the discussions in "The Alleys". But, then one day, I somehow managed to please some of the more moderate posters, and even a few conservatives. To my horror, they were giving me positive reputation! Never have I been more angry and disappointed with the community. Shocked by this alarming turn of events, I actually left the forums for a few weeks and seriously contemplated never returning. Ultimately, I realized that it was a foolhardy decision, and so I came back. I decided it couldn't be all that hard to ignore the opinions of those who I do not respect.

Well, it happened again. Another conservative drew a conclusion to a post I had written that they liked and zapped me with positive reputation again. At first the same feelings came back, but then it turned to laughter. I realized that in the grand scheme of things it just doesn't matter.

Everyone has to live by their own code of honor. Mine is and always will be to remain a powerful force for evil in this universe, a staunch opponent of all that is just and good. Any day I can sow a little discord is a good day. I know politics can be a very sensitive and tender area for some people. I can't take it personally when someone I dislike and greatly disrespect agrees with me.

Indeed, I must recognize that this puts me yet another step closer to achieving my master plan.

Like lambs to the slaughter, they move a step closer to the day when those few deserving souls who do all the work shall reap none of the benefits -- a day when the masses idly stand on the backs of the wealthy, reaping the fruits of their labor despite contributing nothing of value, themselves. A day when murderers live the high life in their palatial 8x12' cells, with no need to work for their food or contribute in meaningful any way to the society. Such will be the reward for their malice. A world where innocents have their lives snuffed out during the first trimester of their existence (but no later -- even my wrath has limits) all in the name of "choice".

You would have thought that after all my years -- and especially the years I've spent on the internet -- I would have learned these simple lessons.

Well, depending on the time of day, temperature, my mood, and various other factors, I can be somewhere between centre-centre-left and centre-centre-right, but yeah, you're basically correct. Doesn't stop me from negative-repping you, though.

This shouldn't surprise you at all. I've been posting for years that conservatives are much more polite, even minded, and tolerant to other positions then liberals. Thank God you are finally getting it. Well done.

This has to be the most brilliant satire I've ever seen. What I find particularly brilliant is the way that you were able to keep my satire going by not only feigning ignorance to its target, but topped even that by deadpanning what is perhaps one of the most humorous pro-conservative arguments ever made. Conservatives, themselves aligned with the party least tolerant of dissent within its own ranks (let alone dissent from other parties), are in fact more tolerant of dissent than liberals aligned with a party that can't even agree on a unified and cohesive platform? Pure genius. I just about fell out of my chair. Good on you, Snook, for you have made my day. This man deserves a hand, everyone!
