Jaheira essential to storyline?

    [​IMG] Hey everyone, I'm finishing up Chapter 5, the underdark. I'd like to bring in a new character (guess who?) and drop Jaheira.

    As I've stated elsewhere, I'm female. I'm not romancing Jaheira, and I'd like to romance -eh hem- someone else.

    If I drop Jaheira will it damage future storylines? General answers like "yes, she is important for future action" or "no she isn't" type of responses please. No major spoilers.

    As far as I know, she's not really important to any quest after Chapter 5 (bar romances).

    Yeah, the only one that is really necessary is Imoen. And she has that belt on through the dungeon, so she can't be killed.

    Other than that, you can chuck anyone at any time. And to be honest, you can reset the variable later on, and finish her romance.

    Go with it.

    Arie or Viconia?

    Viconia is better in bed, and has a much more seductive voice. Arie is probably a little more "enthusiastic", though, if you can make it though the whining.

    Well...you can have a romance with Haer-dalis and Anomen.

    I once had a romance with Anomen, he gave me the ring, then I put on the belt of gender change. It was so funny:lol:

    Jaheira is the only NPC I always take in my party. I would say that she is essential to the storyline, even when I am not romancing her (happens rarely :) )- she always has a comment to make whether you like it or not, hehe
    Her comments before final battles with Irenicus and in Hell are pretty emotional... obviously if you have done all quests in Athkatla and the Harper saga, she is not that important to storyline, but then I mean - having her in a party for so long time and then dropping her and not letting her get revenge on Irenicus - I would not do it. But then I am a silly male :)

    No-one is essential to the storyline. Save yourself of course. Jaheira has some nice dialogues, but then they all do. Anything you lose in dumping her, you'll gain in taking another in her stead. So if you don't come up with any better alternative npc:s to drop, then go for it.

    I suggest using Solaufein,because:
    1-)Anomen is not a romantic stype and so arrogant.
    2-)Anomen's one ear is bigger than the other.
    3-)I don't like Anomen. :D
