Jaheira romance

    I understand that there is no romance after Chapter 3, until you return to Athkatla. I also understand the Jaheira romance takes a long time to complete.

    So, is there an optimal time, romance wise, to head to Spellhold?

    No, as long as you do all the subquests you will spend enough time in chapters 2,3 and 6 to complete the romance. The only tome where you should make haste are the sidequests that are connected to the romance (almost all those involving Jaheira). So if you do every quest concerning Jaheira or the Harpers immediately when it points it nose, you should do well. Don't forget that 1/3 of the initial dialogues occur only when you sleep. She has much dialogues and a slow timer but because of the sleep dialogues you can speed the process by going to sleep immediately after the previous dialogue. This however necessitates that you know when that is. I never had any problems finishing it in time.

    It is also incorrect that romances are on hold during Chapters 4, 5, and 7.

    Romances only fire in areas that are not dungeons. Meaning, you'll still get romance interactions in Brynnlaw and Ust'Natha, as well as Suldanessalar.

    Klorox: Best of luck. Jaheira is my favorite romance, but I found it a little tricky to know what I needed to do to keep it moving. I have the Baldurdash fixes in & the romance guide; everyone but me generally seems to have an easy time with it, so perhaps I'm just a little on the wrong side of st00pid. :)
