John Kerry is going to be giving a speech at my college tomorrow. I plan on attending. If given the opportunity, I will ask a question regarding the national debt.

Upon my return, I will post regarding the tone of the speech, the specifics of his ideas, and the quality of his hand-shake and/or baby-kissing.

    Stay tuned...

Cool, tell him to give Bush hell in the race. I think this is one of the most important elections in american history. I gotta hear how Kerry is in person, I heard that he's quite affable.

Well, I am back. It was very interesting and quite entertaining to boot. John Kerry is a very charismatic individual. Normally I am quite cynical, but I left the event feeling he is a genuine person whom genuinely cares about the issues he spoke of. Mostly he discussed health care, raising the taxes of the top 2% of Americans, and enviromental concerns. He also mentioned how outsourcing was impossible to stop. This made me feel better as I was worried the Democrats would latch on to this political hot-button and create protectionist trade policies that would weaken our overall economy.

One man stood up and started shouting slightly looney things. The man was going on and on about how John Kerry was consorting with foreign leaders to overthrow the Bush presidency. Kerry even handled this man well. He calmy expressed how the leaders he had talked to would rather see another man in office. The man was also a Vietnam vet and Kerry sympathized with him over this difficult experience. Very well handled.

    Two sides notes...

One...John Kerry has got to buy some new shoes. He had these old beat up looking brown things on and while I am sure it engendered a "common man" look it also engendered a "stinky feet" look.

Second...Being a politician has got to rule. He had some very hot girls working for him. I would be perusing through that flock of interns like a wolf in a hen brothel. But I am slightly morally decrepit and hopefully he is a stronger man than I or this election is going to be very Clintonesqe.

All in all, I was very impressed. So far I will be voting Kerry.

This is very interesting. How many people attended this thing? Any mention at all about foreign policies?

It would be really interesting reading what other people who are in the middle of it have to say about the candidates after going to similar things.

If you are on top you get everything man, a powerful amn like Kerry gets more groupies than Justin Timberlake, just not as crude. I really should get into politics ;)

There were three hundred available seats, however, I would say about three times as many showed up. I was one of the lucky ones who got a seat...not that I showed up early but rather I picked the right line! He mentioned how the current administration has tarnished our relationships with our allies and how he would go to the UN within three weeks of being sworn in. Apperently he is already having discussions with foreign leaders...about terrorism or groupie-trading, I have no idea. Probably terrorism.

Wow, sounds cool. I would like to meet Kerry sometime, I wonder when he's going to be in my area, because Bush was just here recently.
