Okay, so that was that. My first trip to Kavarna, and it was well worth it.

Yesterday evening started with Cynic, and despite not being very well known (at least among the people I talked to), they did very well, probably the best performance of all warmup acts. What's even better is that they hanged out at one of the merchandise booths after the whole show, perhaps to sell a few CDs. Well, the CDs were probably quite few - in fact they signed several CDs that were not even printed, which meant they were either pirated or it was a very nice way to get rid of the middle man. Anyway, they posed for some pics, gave out autographs (one friend managed to get one on the back of his mobile phone bill :D ) and, well, basically hanged out with a few fans. That was definitely a nice thing to do, and I wish them all the best in their future career.

Anyway, Dream Theatre... well, I'm not much of a fan of theirs, but they rocked the place, and they rocked it hard. They played some of their newer songs and some of the older ones, and for the most part the people loved it. I think they played the longest out of any of the bands in the festival, too. Overall, I think Scorpions did slightly better with the crowd, but both groups did very well. I look forward to next year's fest - hopefully it's even better than this one.
