At the end of this month. Linktenstein.

Oh yes - and all references of "Turd Blossom" will earn extra style points. :)

I expect this to cause chaos among the moonbats. Without their #1 boogeyman around, what are they going to do??? :)

Please, stop frequenting Michelle Malkin's blog. Please. She's invaded your vocabulary, it's only a matter of time before you write a book in favor of the holocaust. :p

The policies of this administration are driven by Bush and the departure of a subordinate will have very little effect.

Agreed. However, with Rove gone, the way those policies are spun will most assuredly change.

Returnig to good and decent government will be a nice start. But really, the political damage is already done to team Bush, with or without Rove. GWB himself tagged Rove as the "architect" of his political stratigies.

Thusly, the loss of Congress to the supposed "boogeymen" (the Democrats), pretty much sealed his fate last year. The question is not what "they" will do, but what will the lame duck do, except quack the rest of his term away and return to Crawford. And finally put an end to one the most dismal chapters in the history of the Amercian government. Bye, Bye, Karl.

It shows he has become a liability, being intimately involved in about all governance scandals (plame & libby scandal, US attorneys, abusing government positions to push for the GOP etc.) that have plagued the Bush crew. And it shows that the pressure has been mounting on the Bush crew.

But change??? Hardly. I rather think he'll try something more low key than his current job at the Whitehouse. He'll continue what he is doing right now, only 'in the private sector', probably as a consultant, expert rat****er that he is. In his new job he will for instance be allowed to to use RNC e-mail adresses until the day of rapture and have lots of deniability. And likely there will be some liaison person at the Whitehouse channeling him.

Look at Rumsfeld. He left, then came back in a different post. Look at Wolfowitz. He left, made a pretty big scandal as head of the World Bank, and is now probably going to come back in another form. I can't imagine Rove not being offered some other position of power.

    This:
    coupled with:
I couldn't agree with DR more. To consider Karl Rove to be just a "subordinate" is probably the biggest understatement I've heard in a long time. This is the same person who was previously called "the central nervous system" of the Bush administration. His position is Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Adviser to the President.

Justifiably or not, he has also been linked to two major scandals that has effected this administration. He is thought to be the true source of the CIA leak case involving Valerie Plame, and that Libby was sacrified for Rove. He is also thought to be at the heart of the recent U.S. attorney firings. And that doesn't even touch upon some of the things that Rove absolutely had a hand in - like the fact that George Bush would probably NOT be president today without Karl Rove.

To say that this is just "the departure of a subordinate" is both flippant and severely understating the case. Plus, during the press conference it was said that they want some stability in Bush's last year in office, and that anyone who wanted out prior to the end of Bush's term should get out in the next month or so. What I imagine really happened is Rove wanted out - most likely to help organize the eventual '08 Republican canidate's campaign - and this was a convenient means for him to leave.
