    My newest discovery: Keane

    In holland they're pretty new, I think they have one album now. After their first two singles here I decided to buy the album and it's one of the best I've heard in a long time.

    If you like Coldplay style music you will like this.

    I think they're okay, but definitaly not my favorite. A friend of mine won tickets for a secluded performance a few months ago. She was in Oor (Dutch music magazin) with them on a picture. She's 'very fond' of then to say the least.

    The singer is even uglier then he seems, but he has a nice voice. And that's more important.

    I like Coldplay much better, btw.

    If you base that on the two singles they brought out here than I would say indeed but the other songs on the album are actually better if you listen to them more then once. I didn't think buying the CD after those two songs but I got it for my birthday.

    It's a great CD to play in your car. Yesterday I had a business meeting in the Hague (about 100 km from my home) and I listened to it thoroughly.

    So did I today after an afternoon at the beach. I listened to many of the songs, but I think they're a bit the same, except for 1 (the last on their album iirc)
    They have a nice formula for their songs, but it's been used a bit too often.

    I won't say they're bad. Not at all! But they can't seem to please me after a short while.

    I realy dislike theme but most of my friends think they are cool.

    One positive point about them is that they make "real" music...

    He probably compares it to the 'britney' music of nowadays, in which I agree with him. At least they write their own songs :rolleyes:
